Bodhi leaves Hope and returns to the Sea of Sunyata, where his journey began. Arriving at its shore, he smiles at the old fig tree with heart-shaped leaves under which sit a number of animals. A swan sits on the silent Sea. Bodhi peers out onto the vast mirror and says:

the water does not answer

nor promise what is true

i release what i carry

and drift beyond view

Bodhi releases his book into the water, returns to his family, and becomes a school teacher.
