Lamb of God, seeing Bodhi in distress, takes his arm and motions for them to sit together under the Weeping Willow. They gaze out at the Sea of Sunyata, and Lamb of God says warmly:

glad you are here

to understand

how my legacy

is theirs to command

Bodhi asks:

so are you divine

are you god’s son

does heaven and hell await

for what we have done

Lamb of God responds:

i never claimed divinity

that crown was forged in fear

i came to wake the heart

not build a kingdom here

Bodhi asks:

what about the afterlife

are souls eternal still

what of sin and devil

laws beyond our will

Lamb of God replies:

we are not born evil

no stain you must outgrow

to taste the fruit of knowing

is simply to know you know

Bodhi, looking utterly confused, responds:

this is not what i learned

it runs against the rule

christ not one with god

to sheep this sounds like a fool

Lamb of God answers:

it’s tangled in sorrow

and fear became the chain

hearts that could not bear it

made thunder out of rain

when i did not return

they reached for something sure

so i was made eternal

to help the fearful endure

Bodhi follows with another question:

what of your miracles

your birth from virgin claim

did these too fall away

or are they still the same

Lamb of God replies:

to satisfy the prophecy

the story was refined

a girl was made the symbol

to steady trembling minds

Incredulously, Bodhi asks:

turn the other cheek

is what the sheep have heard

yet killing finds its reasons

has your peace been blurred

Lamb of God responds with conviction:

absolutely not

love opens every gate

no tribe, class, exception

even for those we hate

Lamb of God walks from under the Willow to the cliff and stares at the Sea. After a minute of silence, he turns to Bodhi and laments:

instead of living in bliss

i walk beneath a curse

this is the quiet tragedy

where love runs in reverse

i unlock the fearful heart

they fasten it with blame

they call their chains compassion

and suffer in my name

Bodhi responds:

your words make sense

not doctrine’s tome

why can’t i just accept

and finally go home

Lamb of God answers, assuredly:

on your way to the sea

you will meet many creatures

who claim to know the truth

claiming they are teachers

discover for yourself what’s real

let illusion lose its claim

yes you must have faith

but not in a borrowed name

Bodhi bows slightly to Lamb of God and then proceeds down the Mountain of Mortality.
