As Bodhi contines walking down the path in the Hills of Hope, he approaches a tall lamb with a long beard grazing in the foothills. Upon seeing Bodhi, the lamb smiles and welcomes him:

greetings, i’m resist not evil

see you came from above

where visitors rarely visit

this place of peace and love

Resist Not Evil motions for Bodhi to follow him into the hills as he continues speaking:

he lives amongst us

in these glorious hills

lamb of god protects

our hearts he fills

thou shalt came yesterday

to claim his daily price

an offering of fear

a throat to slice

one lamb steps forward

each dawn it goes

resisting not evil

still the blade bestows

dragon thinks it’s a new lamb

a different face and name

but every morning’s lamb

is one and the same

Bodhi answers:

when i entered this dream

a young lamb i saw

tied up by the dragon

sword he did draw

from the stone

i set him free

up the path

lamb of god did flee

Resist Not Evil puts his arm around Bodhi, smiles, and says:

let’s continue to the stone

and along the way

i’ll explain my journey

how my sanity did fray

As they walk, Resist Not Evil continues:

when i was young

walking in the night

zarathustra gave chase

giving me such fright

he preached and ranted

that god does not exist

that life has no meaning

chased me into existential mist

i tried to escape

by climbing into a well

but thou shalt was waiting

at the bottom he did dwell

trapped between two deaths

dragon demanded reason

for the lion, god was dead

of which was my treason

ready to give up

lamb of god did impart

helped me to feel love

hiding deep in my heart

taught me to resist not evil

even when it makes me weak

highest form of morality

turn the other cheek

Bodhi responds:

who else lives here

in these hills of hope

where there is no doctrine

no lords, no pope

Resist Not Evil responds:

with lamb of god

many more came

progressive thinkers

without guilt or shame

we reject their contention

that his words cause fear

that because we are sinners

the lords must interfere
