As the raft heads onto the storming Sea of Sunyata toward the swirling abyss, Thou Shalt breaks the silence and says to Zarathustra, mockingly:

wipe away the horizon

will to create order anew

overanimal to redeem the world

you have no damned clue

damn you zarathustra

you, the cosmic villain

unchained us from the sun

drifting into oblivion

god’s rotting corpse

would cast too long a shadow

of ignorance, intolerance

over this prideful show

Thou Shalt turns to Bodhi and continues his rant:

and you, his accomplice

greatest crime one could do

you want to rid this earth

of everything good and true

assume judging god is dead

as enlightened taught

the world could not handle

the ensuing onslaught

can we be accountable

for the polluted mind

rather than blaming

original sin and his kind

Zarathustra roars at Thou Shalt:

you shall be swallowed

into nothing, the whole

i shall sacrifice myself

killing the dragon is my goal

Baring his claws, Zarathustra leaps at Thou Shalt, but the dragon spreads his wings, blocking him. Thou Shalt turns to Bodhi and says:

i must stop you

from entering the sect

but i cannot kill

enlightened does protect

Thou Shalt turns back toward Zarathustra and pulls out his sword. Offering it to him, he says cunningly:

the deed must be yours

strike bodhi with my sword

together we shall rule

over the animal horde

save yourself antichrist

and you shall live

fly home with me

your rebellion i forgive

The storm’s wind and waves thunder against the Dharma Raft. Zarathustra starts shaking, but then grows calm, cold, mad. He steadies himself and addresses Bodhi, menacingly:

are you the omen yak

or has my hour not come

is this tremendous event

still distant from the sun

has it not yet reached our ears

word of the sacred deed

lightning and thunder take time

from prison to be freed

so if you are not the one

with thou shalt i shall fly away

return to solitude’s vigil

wait for another day

Thou Shalt hands the sword to Zarathustra, grinning. Zarathustra, tense, with madness, places both paws on the handle and raises it above Bodhi, who bows his head. Thou Shalt, in triumph, faces the approaching abyss and roars fire.

Zarathustra takes a deep breath, ready to strike … but then pauses, grins, and thus speaks, trembling:

yet lion is not the end

but only a bridge

i must destroy

this preacher of the ridge

Lightning rips out of a dark cloud and Zarathustra says to Thou Shalt:

the light arrives

my tongue to kiss

frenzy now awakened

divinity to dismiss

Zarathustra plunges his sword into Thou Shalt, knocking him into the water. Zarathustra transforms into a baby camel, and the light in his lantern extinguishes.

Confused, Zarathustra faces the heavens and questions:

how to be comforted

holiest and mightiest of all

who shall accept that god

has bled to death in this fall

who wipes away his sin

what water is there to clean

what festivals of atonement

what sacred games shall be seen

is this deed’s greatness

too great to commit

or must i become a god

to become worthy of it

Bodhi drops to his knees and stares at Thou Shalt bleeding in the water, but alive. After a moment of reflection, he cries out:

killing is not the answer

to what sets us free

i will save you

resist not evil is the key

Bodhi attempts to grab Thou Shalt and pull him onto the raft, but he is out of reach. Bodhi pauses for a moment in reflection and says:

no self to protect

no ground to claim

no hand left closed

no need for name

Bodhi becomes a yak calf as he jumps into the Sea to save the dragon. Zarathustra remains standing, grasping the edges of the Dharma Raft.
