Another lamb aarrives at the Gnostic Stone and whispers to Resist Not Evil, who becomes agitated and declares:
thou shalt and his lords
are coming to invade
just left the ridge
truth they seek to raid
arrive soon they will
to crush dissent
like great crusaders
with church’s consent
must be searching
for lamb of god now free
from the stone unshackled
from the church’s decree
Zarathustra turns to Bodhi and warns:
we must leave now
continue to the sea
confront the dragon
at the baobab tree
Resist Not Evil turns to Bodhi, and agrees:
yes please depart
journey must not cease
we will stay behind
resist in peace
Zarathustra quickly leads Bodhi further down the path. They hide behind a tree and watch Thou Shalt and his lords arrive. The dragon confronts Resist Not Evil:
we meet again
you old fool
where is the lion
or should i be cruel
Resist Not Evil responds, solemnly:
we reject your church
living for death
your intolerance
your poisoned breath
we stand with truth
and will resist
with peace
not a fist
Suddenly a pack of wolves, howling and gnashing their teeth, arrive from down the Mountain of Mortality and charge the lords. Thou Shalt draws his sword and approaches Resist Not Evil, hollering:
retreat my sheep
atheist dogs are here
but not before we slay
their leader dear
Thou Shalt plunges his sword into Resist Not Evil, who stands serenely looking at Bodhi in the distance. He slumps against the Gnostic Stone with blood seeping out of his chest. The howling wolves arrive and chase Thou Shalt and the lords away.
Bodhi and Zarathustra flee down the path and eventually find shelter in an abandoned shed near a grove of olive trees. Inside, they collapse.
