Enlightened smiles, and motions for Bodhi to stand up and follow her to the shore of the Sea of Synyata. They stand with the waves gently washing their paws and peer out onto the horizon. Enlightened motions to the swirling abyss pulling all things toward silence, existence into non-existence. A raft rests on the shore.

Enlightened says to Bodhi:

take this dharma raft

journey to the sea’s whole

there you will realize

you have no fixed soul

Suddenly, Thou Shalt and his lords come rumbling onto the shore. Behind them, Zarathustra is in close pursuit. Bodhi freezes.

Enlightened says to them:

passengers arrive

absolute and nihilism

 find the middle way

to heal reality’s schism

Thou Shalt and Zarathustra stop their pursuit and slowly walk to the raft. Bodhi pleads to Enlightened:

i’m scared to go on

this is too much

let me stay with you

wisdom as my crutch

Enlightened responds:

be a light onto yourself

seek refuge from no creed

emptiness awaits us

when certainty takes seed

emptiness it does awaits

but the void also can mislead

leave the dharma raft behind

or it can become another creed

Thou Shalt responds, angrily:

i protect the people

keep them safe from harm

from freedom’s wild infection

reason we must disarm

Thou Shalt pulls out a sword from behind his wing, pushes the raft into the water, and steps on. Zarathustra turns to Bodhi and says:

i shall go as well

beside you to the deep

together we shall face the beast

where trembling values sleep

Zarathustra wades in the water and steps onto the raft with his lantern. Bodhi looks at the raft and then back to Enlightened, who says:

enter the darkness bodhi

push through to other side

light of understanding awaits

illuminating where doubts hide

to complete your journey

you must face death

most feared of the absolutes

   with its chilling breath

A strong wind blows down the Mountain and across the Sea. Bodhi bows to Enlightened and walks through the water to the Dharma Raft where he climbs on to join Thou Shalt and Zarathustra. The wind shoves the raft out to sea.
